Still Alive

...but super busy. Isn't that always the excuse? :) Let's see, since my last post I have made a trip to WV (five day this time!), worked like a maniac, had company in, and somehow found time to still enjoy the Christmas season.

The trip to WV for Thanksgiving was a lot of fun. I spent a lot of time with my family, got together with an ex (Chris, interesting, as always), and I threw a baby shower for Tricia and Joe, where I got to see some old friends as well. Speaking of the baby, with any luck she should be here some time this weekend. Yay! Which means when I head home for Christmas next weekend, I will get to meet her and I am so excited! I can't wait to cuddle a little newborn baby again. :)

At work right now I am working on an asbestos inspection that has me ready to pull my hair out. I am working 12-13 hour days every day, and I even worked five hours today. I think Monday is the last overtime work though, and I can't tell you how excited I am realizing normal days are in sight again. Don't get me wrong, I am going to love the paycheck when it gets here, but damn, I am tired! Only one more day....

Shawn came to visit last weekend, so you know I was happy about that. :) Unfortunately he was only here for one night. We still had a good time though! We went to dinner at Ciao Bella in Little Italy with Christina and Dave and had some fairly good food--my tortellini was delicious! Then the four of us went to some a hookah bar, I think called Zeeba? It was interesting; there was a stripper there pretending to be a belly dancer, which made for some really strange dancing. Okay, so maybe she is a stripper trying to change her image, but from her dancing, trust me, until recently, she was a stripper. Anyways, after that Christina and Dave felt the need to wonder around Baltimore looking for hookers and pimps--the night got pretty fuzzy at this point for me and I kind of fell asleep on Shawn for a good bit of the ride. Hey, it was like two in the morning and I had worked 60 hours that week! It was really cold out though, so they had no luck finding hookers and finally they brought Shawn and I back home to my nice, warm cozy bed. The next day we did a little shopping and had lunch at this awesome little deli nearby, and then he had to go. :( Next trip, you have to stay longer!!!!

With what little spare time I have had, I have been trying to get things ready for Christmas. I put up a few lights outside and did a little decorating inside, so now I just have to get some presents under my trees. Yep, that's right, I haven't done my shopping, much less gift wrapping. Going to be joining the maniacs out this week, fighting to find presents for everyone. So, if I end up completely losing my mind before Christmas, you guys will know that the last minute shopping pushed me over the edge. I am excited to be going home again next week though, but as always, I'm dreading the 400 mile drive. Yuck. But, it is always worth it when I finally get there and collect all my hugs and kisses from my nieces and nephews! God, do I ever miss those kids! Oh yeah, the rest of the family too...really. :)

As for my dating life, I am not even going to try to go into it on here. I know, that is what this blog is all about and everything, but if I tried to put everything in writing on here that has been happening over the last few months, you would be reading for the next week. Plus, I think I have some spying eyes who I really don't care to tell all my business to. So for now, I am going to have to say mum's the word. Sorry.

That is all I have time for right now. Hope everyone is well and doing better at getting ready for Christmas than I am!!!
